Individual donations from viewers like you, represent the single largest source of support for WCMU. With quality programs like Masterpiece Theatre, Frontline, and Antiques Roadshow, WCMU invites you to be more inspired and show your support by making a pledge. TV wouldn't be the same without WCMU. Basic Membership

With a contribution of $60 or more you will receive our monthly television and radio program guide. If you qualify for our senior citizen rate (age 65 years or older) the contribution amount is $35.

This $60 level and the $35 "minimum" Senior Guide level (65 years or older) entitles you to The GUIDE for one year.

Producers Circle Membership

The Producers Circle is CMU Public Broadcasting’s major donor society. As a member of the Producers Circle you will receive all of the benefits of our basic membership, including a one-year subscription to our monthly program guide. As a member of the Producers Club you will also receive a number of exclusive benefits:
$1,000 Level: Pledge Now
  • Print recognition in The Guide.
  • On-air recognition three times per year during fundraisers.
  • Preferred seating at Our Front Porch concerts or other public broadcasting events.
  • Complimentary invitation for you and a guest to attend one event of your choice per year, including, but not limited to:
    • Mackinac Music Cruises, Our Front Porch Concerts, WCMU
    • Music Series events and the Annual Golf Outing.

$2,500 Level: Pledge Now

  • An invitation for you and a guest to 1) attend dinner with the band following an Our Front Porch concert, or 2) sit courtside with play-by-play commentator Kurt Wilson during a Central Michigan University home basketball game.

$10,000 Level: Pledge Now

Includes all benefits listed above plus:

  • An opportunity to tape a personal on-air acknowledgement for airing around TV and/or radio programs of your choice. These announcements will air at least once a week for 52 weeks.

CMU Public Broadcasting is your public television and public radio station. No one else serves the entire central and northern Michigan region with this type of service. Local Control for Greatest Charitable Impact
Our staff and volunteers all live in our broadcast area. We understand how local and regional issues affect our community as a whole. Our broad perspective ensures that the gifts we receive will carry out the greatest public good.

Flexibility
WCMU offers a variety of ways to give. Donations can be cash, appreciated property, stock, life insurance policies, and charitable bequests in wills or trusts. Gifts can be designated for special interests or left unrestricted. Any member of our development staff would be happy to sit down with you and your financial advisor to discuss options.

Michigan State Tax Credit
CMU Public Broadcasting is a public charity, and all donations qualify for the maximum available deduction for charitable contributions. In addition to federal deductions, your gift qualifies for the Michigan Tax Credit, which can be up to half your contribution – up to a maximum of $200 for single filers and $400 for joint filers.

Permanence
Dollars given to WCMU can last forever. If you designate your gift for the WCMU Endowment, your gift will be placed in this fund and your interests will be carried out in perpetuity and have a lasting impact.
