Michigan will have a new governor this year, and candidates on both sides of the aisle are criticizing state-funded economic incentives to attract corporations in order to create new jobs.
The agency that handles these incentives, the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, has come under fire on the campaign trail.
Tina Sawyer sits down with WCMU's AJ Jones to learn more about what the candidates are saying and their plans to reform economic development in the state.
Also on the show, A Trump administration spokesperson signaled plans today to challenge an appeals court decision that Michigan does not have to share its voter rolls with the federal government and Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel released a report this week that alleges 38 clergy members connected to the Diocese of Saginaw engaged in sexual misconduct over several decades.
