As one of Central Michigan University’s principal public service commitments, WCMU Public Media has provided television and radio programming and other outreach activities for over 50 years, to residents of 48 counties in Michigan, and portions of Ontario. With four television and eight radio stations, WCMU Public Media reaches over 1.3 million people.

The WCMU newsroom holds itself to high ethical standards to produce our journalism by following NPR's code of ethics. We adhere to strict editorial independence, balanced, fact-based coverage that is free from outside or commercial influence, including our financial supporters and our university licensee.
