WCMU Public Media is proud to present FNX – First Nations Experience, a new over-the-air channel available throughout central and northern Michigan. FNX is the first and only nationally distributed TV network exclusively devoted to Native American and Indigenous content.

Whether you’re tuning in for stories that span generations, documentaries that explore tradition and resilience, or contemporary series that amplify Indigenous voices, FNX brings a new perspective to public media.

How to Watch FNX

FNX is available free over the air with an antenna.
To start watching, all you need to do is rescan your TV channels.

How to Rescan Your TV

Using your TV remote, press Menu or Settings

Look for options like "Channel Setup" or "Auto-Tuning"

Choose "Rescan," "Auto Program," or "Channel Search"

Wait for the scan to complete – FNX will appear as one of your channels

FNX showcases the rich and diverse cultures of Native peoples, from Alaska to the Andes and beyond. The channel features:

Q: Do I need cable to get FNX?
A: Nope! FNX is available for free with an over-the-air antenna.

Q: I rescanned but don’t see FNX. What should I do?
A: Make sure your antenna is connected properly and aimed toward your local broadcast tower. Try a second scan or move your antenna to a higher location.

Q: Will FNX be available on streaming?
A: FNX is primarily an over-the-air service, but some programs may be available to stream at fnx.org.
