Creative 360 welcomes CMU Professor of Creative Writing and author Darrin Doyle as he shares from his collection, "The Dark Will End the Dark". Originally released in 2025, the book was recently re-released as a 10th Anniversary edition.

Stunning and visceral in its emotional impact, the 15 stories of "The Dark Will End The Dark"(including an additional story in the new release) deftly mix realism and fabulism, bleakness and hope, sparkling dialogue and unforgettable characters. These literary Midwestern Gothic tales will remain in the reader’s mind long after the last page is turned.

Creative 360's ED, Laura V, thinks this is one of the best compilations of short stories she has had the chance to read in a long time!

A Q&A will follow the reading.

Professor Doyle will lead a Write In following the Q&A! Inspired by the evening, and a prompt of Doyle's choosing - the audience is invited to let their creativity flow in a 20 minute free style write in with optional sharing.
