Michigan has more local governments with mandated jobs than almost any state in the country. And getting people to do those jobs is challenging, especially in rural areas.

WCMU's David Nicholas speaks with Ron French of Bridge Michigan about his reporting on the struggle to fill mandated positions and how people are keeping the wheels of local government spinning.

You'll also get a rundown of this week's top headlines from host Tina Sawyer.
