Lanterns & Lifeboats
On Thursday at 6pm, the Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary hosts Lanterns & Lifeboats, celebrating the 150th anniversary of the Thunder Bay Island Lifeboat Station. The presentation will take a deeper look into the so-called "cradle" of Alpena's history.
Backyard Blues, Brews, & Barbecue
Friday and Saturday, Lively Acres in Empire hosts the first Backyard Blues, Brews, & Barbecue, headlined by Thornetta Davis and other Michigan talent. They'll serve home-cooked barbecue and northern Michigan brews.
Port Oneida Fair
Through Saturday, the Port Oneida Fair allows visitors to step back in time in the town's Rural Historic District.
Les Cheneaux Antique Wooden Boat Show & Festival of Arts
Saturday is also one of the largest classic boat shows in the country, beginning at 10am.
