For their podcast, 2 elementary school students ask adults why they chose their jobs

Kids are used to being asked, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" Two students in Ohio flipped the script to ask grown-ups why they chose their careers.

This is an excerpt from "The Careers Kids Consider" by Zoey Nolan and Abigail Stettler, students at Barrington Elementary School in Upper Arlington, Ohio. Their story is a finalist in the 2026 NPR Student Podcast Challenge.
