Adam Miedema began his career working in community television, building a strong foundation in storytelling and production, and has since gained experience in higher education communication and public relations. He joined WCMU Public Media in the fall of 2016, where he continues to develop and share stories from across the state.

Adam has a deep passion for visual storytelling, with a particular focus on capturing the people, places, and events that make Michigan unique. His work is driven by a genuine appreciation for the communities he serves and the stories they have to share.

When asked about his favorite part of working at WCMU Public Media, Adam points to the people he gets to meet—each one adding a new perspective and story worth telling. And he never shies away from grabbing his cameras for another adventure across the state.

He holds a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and a master’s degree from Central Michigan University. So, Go GREEN and FIRE UP.
