Jamie Mankiewicz joined WCMU as a Multimedia Producer in 2025, bringing nearly two decades of experience as an award-winning news producer in northern Michigan.

Growing up in Sault Ste. Marie, her childhood report cards often included praise for "questions and curiosity", along with notes about “talking too much with her neighbors.” These traits eventually evolved into a career dedicated to sharing stories that matter and building lasting connections.

Mankiewicz currently serves on the advisory board for the Digital Media Production program at the Wexford-Missaukee ISD Career Tech Center and is a former member of the Board of Directors for the Michigan Association of Broadcasters. She is also deeply committed to advocating mental health awareness.

A graduate of Northern Michigan University, Mankiewicz is currently pursuing her master’s degree at Central Michigan University. When she isn’t chasing the next story, you can find her traveling with her husband and their three teenage sons, catching live concerts, or attempting to wrangle her energetic Labrador Retriever, Mackinac.
