Matt Collins is WCMU's Grants Manager. Matt works closely with station leadership to secure federal, foundational and corporate grant funding that supports the day-to-day operations of WCMU, as well as investment in future programs and initiatives. Matt also manages WCMU’s internal grants strategy, including the development of grant budgets and preparation of impact reports for grant funders.

Prior to joining WCMU in 2023, Matt worked in marketing and development at Big Brothers Big Sisters and co-hosted a local morning radio show. He has also volunteered and served on the boards of several local social justice, youth service and community development organizations, such as the Mt Pleasant Optimist Club and the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Central Michigan.

Matt is a graduate of Central Michigan University. He lives in Shepherd with his wife and two dogs, and enjoys traveling, being on the water, visiting coffee shops and sampling pastries from around the world, live music, video games, baseball and anything to do with human spaceflight and transit.
