Outbreak

Cyclospora — a microscopic parasite that produces prodigious poop problems — is on the decline in Michigan, the state health department says.

State health officials are still working to determine the source of the outbreak, but early indications point to lettuce and salad greens.

No public exposure sites have been identified yet, health officials said, in an outbreak that has been "brewing since late June."
