Providing a masterful presentation of Eagles classic hits and Don Henley favourites with its rock n’ roll game-changing song catalogue, Epic Eagles has earned its place among the top drawing tribute acts in North America and is widely regarded as the finest Eagles tribute show in production today.

Perfecting the music while sharing incredible lead vocal similarity, audiences are treated to a high energy show with the legacy sound of the Eagles and Don Henley. The show features greatest hits like Hotel California, One of These Nights, Life in the Fast Lane, Desperado, Dirty Laundry, New Kid in Town, Take it Easy, The Boys of Summer along with some deep cuts for the die-hard Eagles & Henley fans.

Journey through all the Eagles’ signature sounds, from country rock to hard rocking tunes highlighting their extraordinary catalogue, with lush vocal harmonies and exceptional musical accuracy.

Explore the world of theater, improv, and more with Mount Pleasant’s own Tena Gilbreath, a professional Hollywood theatre and Second City improv actress. Students age 7-12 can gain insight into the theater world and learn the fundamentals of acting through improvisation, scene work, voice acting, character development, and performance techniques. You’ll gain confidence in public speaking, storytelling, and exercise creativity while having fun in a supportive environment. Expect to improve your acting technique and build performance experience through creative exercises and theater games, culminating in a showcase of your skills at the final session.

This 6-week course will be held from 3-6 pm on Tuesdays, July 7-August 11, in the Idonea Hersee Classroom at Art Reach, 111 E. Broadway, Mt. Pleasant, MI.

Recommended age: 7-12

A snack will be provided midway through each session. Students with food sensitivities should bring a snack from home.

The most popular and sought after big band in the world today for both concert and swing dance engagements returns to the Cheboygan Opera House! With its unique jazz sound, the Glenn Miller Orchestra is considered to be one of the greatest bands of all time. The present Glenn Miller Orchestra was formed in 1956 and has been touring worldwide ever since.

Hear classics like Pennsylvania 6-500, In the Mood, Moonlight Serenade, Little Brown Jug, Chattanooga Choo-Choo, and more; performed by the legendary jazz band in the great acoustics of the Opera House.

There are hundreds, if not thousands of tribute bands performing the music of the Beatles, Rolling Stones, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, U2, and other monsters of rock. But Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young? Next to none.

A band dedicated to tributing CSNY is unheard of due to the difficulty in replicating the 3- and 4-part vocal harmonies that made the group international superstars. Marrakesh Express excels at reproducing CSNY's complex songs and cascading, layered harmonies, and takes the audience back to the late 1960s with energetic musicians who bring an authentic hippie vibe and visual to the stage.

CSNY was arguably the biggest band in the world after the demise of the Beatles, and is one of the most enduring and influential musical groups of all time. The band, born in the turbulent years of the late 1960s, released hit after hit that spoke directly for their generation. Their songs remain in heavy rotation on classic rock radio stations to this day.

Marrakesh Express upholds the integrity of that music with their vivid and realistic performance of CSNY’s most recognizable songs. Founded in 2009, the GRAMMY® Award-winning Akropolis Reed Quintet performs with “sheer musical imagination” (Gramophone), renowned as “a sonically daring ensemble who specializes in performing new works with charisma and integrity” (BBC Music Magazine). Composed of the same five members since its founding, these five reed players and entrepreneurs are pioneers and champions of a new genre of classical music—the reed quintet.

Wrapping up Chamberfest this year, Akropolis' program celebrates our nation's 250th anniversary by featuring great American composers such as Gershwin and Bernstein.

Helped by her eager new assistant, Annelle (who is not sure whether or not she is still married), the outspoken, wise-cracking Truvy dispenses shampoo and free advice to the town’s rich curmudgeon, Ouiser, an eccentric millionaire, Miss Clairee, who has a raging sweet tooth; and the local social leader, M’Lynn, whose daughter, Shelby (the prettiest girl in town), is about to marry a “good ole boy.”

Filled with hilarious repartee and several acerbic verbal collisions, the comedy moves toward tragedy when, in the second act, the spunky Shelby risks her life to go through with a dangerous pregnancy. Confronted with the harshness of mortality, the others draw together to find strength – and love – in the wake of tragedy.

STEEL MAGNOLIAS is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Dramatists Play Service.
