Join us for a celebration of art, music, and nature at the Art in the Garden Festival! Enjoy live music, explore the gardens, and admire the artwork on display. There will be free workshops through out the day, and a little something for everyone. Also enjoy lunch from Tilly's Grill while you taken in the music. This event is free for all to attend. There are activities for all ages, and something spectacular around every corner.

A Night of Glitz and Glamour: After Party Drag Show! 🪩🪭

Join us for the biggest drag show in the region, welcoming over 400 attendees and showcasing Queens and Kings from across Michigan. This dazzling after-party follows the Great Lakes Bay Pride Festival, so get your crew together and prepare for a magical evening of unforgettable performances!

The Northport Arts Association (NAA) is pleased to present its annual Plein Air event, continuing a cherished tradition begun in 2013 by the late Gene Rantz. Originally known as the “Paint Out & Wet Paint Sale,” the event has grown from a small gathering into a signature regional celebration, now welcoming up to 50 artists who spend the week painting on location throughout the tip of the Leelanau Peninsula. With the generous permission of Gene’s family, the event proudly bears his name in honor of his lasting vision and impact.

The public is invited to attend the culminating Wet Paint Sale and reception on July 18 from 6:00–9:00 p.m. at the Northport Arts Association, 301 N. Mill Street, Northport. Guests will enjoy a robust selection of appetizers and a cash bar while viewing and purchasing freshly created works.

Each year, the NAA welcomes a dynamic mix of returning and first-time artists whose work reflects a wide range of perspectives, styles, and media. Painting en plein air across Northport and the surrounding peninsula, artists capture the village, beaches, marina, orchards, vineyards, and iconic landscapes that define the area. The resulting collection offers exceptional variety in subject matter, scale, and technique—featuring entirely original works, some still wet from the easel.

This beloved event offers art lovers a rare opportunity to experience the creative process up close and to take home a piece inspired by the distinctive beauty and spirit of our peninsula.

The Harrietta Blueberry Festival began in 2007 when local residents wanted to organize an event to bring the community together. Choosing to highlight local attractions and businesses, the Village celebrates annually with food, games, a parade, and more!

The festival is a free family-friendly event! Live music, pie eating contests, a quilt raffle, children’s games, and a fire hose spray provide entertainment for the participants and viewers alike. Many skilled artisans line the streets and fill the Village Hall to offer their goods for sale. The highlight of the day is the Leo Porter Memorial Parade, featuring local leaders, sponsors, and various local organization floats. Visitors of all ages and creeds are guaranteed to find something they enjoy.

The Harrietta United Methodist Church and the Slagle Township-Harrietta Fire Department put on major fundraisers. The Fire Dept. offers an amazing blueberry pancake breakfast, with eggs, sausage, coffee, and juice. The Fire Dept. also hosts a beer tent! The HUMC puts on a cookout lunch from noon until the food is gone, along with a great rummage and bake sale in the church. A community church service is also held the following morning.

Are you just here for the blueberries? Festival-goers are able to purchase a wide variety of blueberry items: ice-cream sundaes, hand-held pies, themed t-shirts, and fresh blueberries to support the Festival. Get them before they’re gone! If you want to pick your own, Harrietta’s Blueberry Hill is just down the road.
