Austin is a freelance reporter and producer for Interlochen Public Radio based in Bellaire. His written stories have appeared in Bridge Michigan and many up north newspapers. Austin also coordinates Red Pine Radio and hosts The Antrim Writers Series.

The report commissioned by Interlochen Center for the Arts details some 70 incidents of sexual abuse dating back to the 1950s. District Attorney Noelle Moeggenburg confirmed that she's looking into the cases that "may still be prosecuted." -
The Michigan Bureau of Elections has sent letters to township clerks in Antrim County informing them that the changes to the voter rolls made by county clerk Victoria Bishop will be returned to their previous state. -
After telling the state Bureau of Elections she has not canceled any voters, Interlochen Public Radio has confirmed Victoria Bishop has canceled 6 voters in her jurisdiction. -
The effort to repeal zoning rules was spearheaded by Marv Rubingh, a township board member who is trying to gain approval for a gravel mine on his property.
